4th of July

Wyoming and Colorado compete on lots of things, but the Greenies don't come close when it comes to celebrating the 4th.

One of Casper's favorite summer events, Fireworks Festival 2023, is returning to the Ford Wyoming Center this fourth of July.

It's not the 4th of July (or, really, the 3rd of July) without the Cody Stampede Parade, and this year a very special guest served as the Grand Marshall: Cole Hauser, star of the show everybody and their parents love, 'Yellowstone.'

A day of celebration quickly turned into a day of tragedy when multiple news outlets reported that a mass shooting, leaving 6 dead and 30 injured, had taken place in Highland Park, Illinois - a suburb just outside of Chicago.

Former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Eric Bischoff threw caution to the wind, as he posted a picture of himself with Wyoming Senator John Barrasso.

On July 3rd and 4th from 7 pm - Midnight, you can go to South Rec in Glenrock, WY, and safely set off fireworks. The cost is $10 per vehicle.

Last August, 307 Fest took place in Downtown Casper, but this year it's happening at the Ford Wyoming Center and it will be a 2-day event featuring food, fun and, yes, fireworks. Best of all? This year, it's free!

It would be hard to write a script that would be better or more patriotic than this one. A Canadian was out on a lake with his family when he came across an eagle that was drowning. Oh, and it was the 4th of July.

It doesn't get much more patriotic than this. New video shows the US Navy Blue Angels fly over Mount Rushmore as part of a 4th of July celebration.

Not only is this the right time of year to embrace the American spirit, sometimes we just need a nice reminder of where we are and what the country we reside in stands for.

The 2020 July 4th fireworks display is still happening in Casper, but there will be no annual festival or viewing access at the Casper Events Center.
