We could still use some more snow in Wyoming.

A dry winter and a dry spring mean high fire danger in the mountains and planes.

But hold on, relief might be on the way.

Wyoming is starting 2026 fairly dry and that could change the landscape of the rest of the year. Let’s break down the numbers and what they mean.

Parts of Wyoming will be hit by an extreme drought this summer.

The Colorado River provides water for seven U.S. states, Native American tribes and two states in Mexico.

"Even though it's raining like heck outside and we've had probably one of the best winters we've ever had in decades, we're still in a drought. This is the 23rd year of the drought" said Pepper.

All that rain and snow means California can provide 100% of the water requested by cities and farms for the first time in years.
