Hogadon Ski Area

Casper City Council will be voting next week to decide on proposed rates for upcoming night skiing being offered by the Hogadon Basin Ski Area.

Mayor Kenyne Humphrey said the council will work on serving alcohol off-premises and look at the driving issues related to Casper's quirky ski area.

Unusual? You bet. However, my enjoyment comes at the expense of friends chomping at the bit to hit the slopes.

The funding for the $5.3 million project, initially set at $6 million, is already in the bank from excess revenues from the Optional One-Percent Sales Tax No. 14.

In the 1800's, south of the Hogadon Ski Area and Northeast of the Archery Range was a mining town called Eadsville. Eadsville covered 20 acres on Casper Mountain. It was surveyed as a stamp mill.

For the safety of guests and staff, Hogadon Ski Area will close the following runs until Saturday, January 2nd due to snow-making efforts on the trails.
