After living in Casper for over 20 years, I finally experienced my first drastic difference in weather between Casper city limits and what was happening on Casper Mountain.

Other closed facilities are the Casper Ice Arena, Casper Family Aquatic Center, and Casper Recreation Center.

Hogadon will resume its normal hours -- Wednesday through Sunday, and closed Monday and Tuesdays -- the week of Jan. 6.

Smith says the ski area closes the chair lift during high wind events, as it did on Feb. 13 when the Prospector lift was closed.
