The Riverton Office of the National Weather Service has posted a video of Saturday's partial solar eclipse. You can see the video below. Saturday's eclipse was annular. NASA describes an annular eclipse this way: An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, but when it is at or near its farthest point from Earth...

Calling all astronomy fans. The Natrona County Library is hosting a free, 1-hour event, dedicated to NASA's James Webb Space Telescope.

If you are into stargazing and/or looking at the moon, this is awesome news. You can view the International Space Station with the naked eye from right here in Casper.

If you love taking a blanket, laying on your back and looking at the Stars, Wyoming is one of the best states because of the lack of "light pollution" and for the next month is going to be even better.

According to the National Weather Service, for southeast Wyoming residents, ''Total eclipse begins at 511 AM MDT. Greatest eclipse is at 519 AM MDT. Total eclipse ends at 526 AM MDT."

You may have noticed the gorgeous full moon over Wyoming this week, but I bet you haven't seen it as close up as this zoomed in video shows.

We always encourage our Wyoming students to aim high. Midwest School took that direction literally a few months ago when they launched a high-altitude balloon nearly 100,000 feet over Wyoming.

It's hard to believe that this summer is the 32nd anniversary of the wildfire that nearly consumed Yellowstone National Park. I remember that summer of 1988 like it was yesterday.
