Country music singer-songwriter Martina McBride will be performing the national anthem at this year's Indianapolis 500 on May 27.

The Band Perry had a banner year in 2011, due in large part to the crossover success of ‘If I Die Young.’ They will soar into 2012 with another heralded appearance. The trio of siblings will perform the national anthem at the AT&T Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on Jan. 6, reports CMT.

I have sang the National Anthem at numerous events all over town, it is always an honor to sing it and no matter where I sing it, I get nervous.
