Jared Hess' last film was 'Gentlemen Broncos,' a film that wasn't very well-received -- to put it kindly -- but the writer/director is back with a new film called 'Loomis Fargo,' and Jim Carrey has just signed on to make sure this movie gets your attention.

Jean Shepard’s book ‘In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash’ inspired the 1983 film ‘A Christmas Story.’ The film did well upon release, but in the intervening years it’s become a holiday classic.  So much so that it inspired a sequel in 1994 (‘It Runs in the Family’), and now the “official” sequel ‘A Christmas Story 2.’

With no new movies opening in wide-release this weekend, there was little to challenge the powerhouse known as ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,’ which earned $16.9 million and easily kept its berth as the top-earning film for the third weekend in a row.

According to reports, Taylor Swift is on a list of females potentially suited to fill the role of Eponine in the new big screen adaptation of ‘Les Miserables,’ as directed by Oscar winner Tom Hooper. A source close to the film claims that Swift has even auditioned already.

Christian Bale, the brooding star of all three ‘Batman’ movies in director Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, has turned in his keys to the Batmobile. Shooting on the latest film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ recently wrapped, and Bale said, “t’s all done. Everything’s finished. It’s me and Chris – that will be the end of that Batman era.”
