Parmalee take a pop song and turn it into country gold.

Parmalee’s Barry Knox has asked, and she said “Yes!” The bass player proposed to longtime girlfriend Kristin Joyner earlier this year, and the two are set to get married in 2016.

Growing up in eastern North Carolina, the four men of Parmalee learned to mix good music and good eating from a very young age. The stove was always hot, or the grill was always burning when family would gather. And the live music rarely stopped.

At 7:15PM at the 2015 Country Jam Festival in Grand Junction, Colo., Parmalee brought down the outdoor house with a mix of hits, covers and a ton of energy.

Parmalee say their motto is "Keep on plugging!" On Thursday night in Rootstown, Ohio they had to keep plugging when a power outage kept them from plugging in. Fans with cell phones lit the stage and then helped the country quartet get through their new song "Already Callin' You Mine."

The 2015 Country Jam lineup got bigger and even more impressive.

Paramlee is a young group climbing the charts at the moment. They made their first stop on the Jake Owen 'Days of Gold' Tour here in Casper. As busy as touring and preparing for shows can be, they made sure to make time for their fans.
