Platelets are a component of blood component that helps control bleeding. Supplies need to be continuously replenished as their shelf life is only 5 days.

Thursday, February, 9th from 10:30 AM through 4:30 PM, donors can donate a pint of blood, at the Eastridge Mall and support your local schools in this years drive.

Those wishing to donate must be at least 16, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health.

Through Tuesday, January 31st, when you donate a pint of blood at United Blood Services, Casper or Cheyenne, (or mobile blood drives) you'll receive a voucher for a free Draft House pint of beer.

United Blood Services is asking for your help in keeping the blood supply up for the Independence Day Holiday!

United Blood Services centers are asking donors to replenish local supplies and help assure blood is available should the Orlando, Fla., require it.

The regional office of the United Blood Services is asking potential donors who have traveled to the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America not to donate blood for 28 days after leaving those areas, according to a news release.

Part of their job is to save lives, and on Thursday (August 20th), they were doing so in a different way, and made a competition out of it.
