A statement from the VA says that this free event is a “Welcome Home” celebration, which focuses on honoring area Veterans, many of whom did not receive the "welcome home" they deserved.

Based on the unemployment rate for veterans, average annual income, and access to VA services, Wyoming is one of the best states in the country for veterans, trailing only North Dakota and Hawaii.
