The weather outside is frightful and Hogadon Basin Ski Area has announced that, due to said frightful weather, they are shutting down operations until Friday...at the earliest.

The warning for Natrona County is in effect through 11 a.m. Friday.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation suggests 'No Unnecessary Travel' for various parts of Wyoming today, due to snow, slick roads, wind and cold temperatures.

Specifically, the Gros Ventre and Teton Ranges could see rain changing to snow beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday. It's expected to continue through noon on Sunday.

Slick roads are expected, with hazardous travel conditions likely impacting the Thursday morning commute.

The advisory covers most of Natrona County and is in effect from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Also included in the advisory area were Evanston, Kemmerer, Laramie, Rock Springs, Riverton, Thermopolis, Buffalo and Douglas.

Slippery road conditions are expected.

The National Weather Service predicts two to four inches of snow and gusty winds, with four to eight inches on Casper Mountain.

NWS meteorologists say the snow will begin as a rain and snow mix in the lower elevations, with total snow accumulations of three to five inches.

NWS Meteorologists say we can expect periods of snow through the day into tonight, with accumulations of two to five inches.
