Cheyenne Frontier Days began in 1897 and has been going strong ever since. During the World War 2 era, things were different as a new video share shows Army and Air Force personnel who participated in the rodeo and other activities during wartime.

“We basically considered him to be a part of our staff,” Loveall laughed. “He was there every day. He was a constant. And he always had a kind word. He was a staple of Natrona County Meals on Wheels. He was indescribable and he is irreplaceable.”

After 1941, December 7 was supposed to be a day that would forever live in infamy. Unfortunately, as the years pass it seems that remembrances of this day are becoming more infrequent. It's my opinion that it's time to teach a new generation why this day must always be remembered.

My dad was a veteran of World War 2. He served as a MP in the Army in Okinawa and came home after the war, had a family and enjoyed the rest of his life while many others who served didn't.

I am not typically a very sentimental person, but Veteran’s Day always reminds me of my dad. He was a vet who served in World War 2.

It's every child's dream to stumble upon a hidden treasure in their very own home. Think how many hours of youth are spent knocking on hollow walls, digging in the backyard and exploring crawl spaces in the hopes of finding something, anything, of value.

Today, on its 68th anniversary, everyone at My Country 95.5 wishes to acknowledge, remember, and reflect on the crucial turn of events that took place on the European battlefront on June 6th, 1944.
