The Wyoming Department of Transportation has begun closing roads in mountainous areas of Wyoming as a winter storm moves through the area.

Two Wyoming interstates have been closed since the weekend and at least one may remain so through midnight Wednesday.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation has issued the following closures.

Interstate 80 is under a rolling closure from Rock Springs to just west of Cheyenne. The closure was issued at 9 a.m. and was expected to last 15 to 17 hours.

Highway officials do not know when the road will reopen.
