Road trips are pretty awesome--especially paired with country music. Zac Brown Band are doing just that, treating fans to live shows with the announcement of The Great American Road Trip Tour. Plus, they have a new, eighth band member--a bass player--who will join them on the road.

During his two performances at the CMAs last week, Zac Brown Band frontman Zac Brown put his musical prowess on display, but fans might have also noticed that the 'Goodbye in Her Eyes' singer has been looking trimmer and healthier these days.

It’s rather common to hear about a country music singer’s aspirations to become a professional athlete — but it’s incredibly uncommon to hear about a singer perfecting their ‘midget bowling’ skills, which which was the pastime of choice for Zac Brown while at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota recently.

Zac Brown Band are animated in the video for their latest jam ‘The Wind’ from the forthcoming ‘Uncaged.’ The band didn’t hire just any old animator for this clip. They pulled out the big gun in the form of ‘Beavis & Butthead’ and ‘King of the Hill’ creator Mike Judge, who fashioned the hilarious protagonist Robo Redneck aka the Six Million Dollar Honky.

When we think of country’s most noteworthy hat acts, we tend to think of guys wearing cowboy hats — stars like George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, and Brad Paisley. But the term could also apply to Zac Brown, who’s rarely seen without a beanie. And, as Brown recently explained during a stop at WYCD, it’s more than just a fashion choice.
