Taylor Swift celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday (Dec. 13), but it was she who was giving gifts! The superstar generously donated $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony.

"We are profoundly grateful for @TaylorSwift13's donation," a tweet by the Symphony, thanking the star, reads. "Thank you, Taylor, for supporting musicians & music in #MusicCity. Happy Birthday!"

Needless to say, it was a selfless donation on Swift's part -- one which was greatly appreciated. The organization found hardship this year in the form of some serious financial issues. It nearly lost Schermerhorn Symphony Center to foreclosure, and decided to refocus efforts on fundraising.

Nashville Symphony publicist Laurie Davis confirmed Swift's donation and said that more information would be released on Monday, Dec. 16, according to the Tennessean.

In 2012, Swift donated $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame. She also donated 14,000 books to the Nashville Public Library last year, as well.

Clearly, Swift loves her hometown of Nashville and supports efforts wherever and whenever she can.
