With all due respect to Junior Cornerback Rico Gafford, Brian Hill deserves his own number.

For the past two seasons, Wyoming's all-time rushing record holder has shared #5 with his defensive teammate.

Interestingly enough, the Pokes also have two # 7's, two #11's, two #12's, two #13's, two #15's, two #16's, two #17's, two #18's, two #19's, two #21's, two #22's, two #23's, two #24's, two #27's, two #31's, two #32's, two #47's, two #51's, two #60's, 2 #87's and two #93's.

Clearly, they've got a lot of players.

In fact, the only numbers between 1 and 100 that aren't currently in use are #1, #10, #37, #38, #49, #56, #70 and #79.

Maybe we could convince Gafford to take one of those?

To date, Wyoming has yet to retire any numbers.

However, if Brian Hill sticks around for his senior season, perhaps they'll retire #5 in Laramie some day. At least, on offense.
