A Walk on Faith for the Wishing Star Foundation [AUDIO]

Would you walk 2000 miles for charity? I've participated in various charity walks to raise money, but 2000 miles? This is an amazing feat, or as it's been titled "A Walk On Faith" for an amazing charity - The Wishing Star Foundation.

David Parrish left Spokane, WA on Monday August 1st at 1pm. 800 miles into his journey he arrived in Casper, WY on his way to Nashville, TN. David is a singer / songwriter and has a CD available called "Just The Way You Are". His music has a traditional country sound and in my opinion is a mix between Kris Kristofferson and Chris LeDoux.

This afternoon, David and I got the chance to sit down and talk about his music and about his "Walk on Faith" journey to this point, and about spreading the word about the Wishing Star Foundation.

David Parrish left Spokane, WA on Monday August 1st at 1pm. Arrived at the KWYY studios in Casper at 1:30pm on Wednesday, August 31st. Will be leaving Casper Thursday morning, Sept. 1st at 7am.

David Parrish is a country music singer and songwriter and he is going to Nashville to try and promote his music. David hopes to raise $30,000 for the Wishing Star Foundation as he makes this trip to Nashville.

The Wishing Star Foundation was established in 1983, granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, living in Eastern and Central Washington and Idaho.  The organization goes to great lengths and have helped hundreds of children with chronic and critical illnesses to fulfill their one wish, regardless of what that wish might be.

David will be donating $1.00 for every mile he walks and so far has walked 816 miles (Casper is almost the midway point of his journey), he has been averaging about 30 miles a day on his walk.

You can find David Parrish at the Days Inn on E Street tonight, and will be selling CD's there this evening, before continuing his walk tomorrow morning.
