Jason McManamen scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Wyoming Cowboys past Fresno State in four overtimes, 102-100, Wednesday night in Laramie.

McManamen knocked down seven 3-pointers and a key free throw with 12.7 seconds left in the fourth OT period. Down 102-99, the Bulldogs had a chance to tie. Wyoming elected to foul and put Fresno State’s Jahmel Taylor to the free throw line, so they couldn’t tie the game with a three. Taylor made the first and tried to miss the second intentionally. He did miss, but committed a violation by crossing the foul line before the ball hit the rim. UW got the ball in-bounds and dribbled out the clock for the win.

Wyoming (16-9, 6-6) won back-to-back conference games for the first time this season. Hayden Dalton added 21 points and 20 rebounds. The Pokes shot 39 percent for the game.

Fresno State (14-10, 6-6) shot 35.6 percent from the field. They had four players in double figures and were led by Deshon Taylor with 32 points. That included 17-18 on free throws.

The game featured 16 ties and 14 lead changes. Fresno State led by seven in the first half, but Wyoming’s biggest lead was four points in the fourth overtime. The Bulldogs had four players foul out and lost one to an injury at the end of the third OT period. The Cowboys had two players foul out.

UW fought back from down seven in the first half for a 30-29 halftime lead. Fresno State started the second half on a 10-3 run. Wyoming came back and took a lead on a McManamen three at the 12:16 mark, 47-46. Neither team led by more than five the rest of the game.

The Cowboys had chances to win it at the end of regulation and the first two overtimes, but couldn’t convert. In the fourth OT, Jeremy Lieberman made two jumpers on back-to-back possessions that put Wyoming up 101-97.

The four overtimes played tied the longest game in Arena-Auditorium history. UW beat Air Force in quadruple OT Jan. 28, 2002, 83-76.

The Pokes head to Logan, UT to face the Utah State Aggies in their next game Saturday at 7 p.m.
