Your 4th of July just got a little busier and more exciting, as Casper Speedway is back in action.

The first part of the race season has been a tough one for race fans, track employees, and drivers in Casper. The spring has been full wild weather events, soaking rains and  issues with track lighting have really put a damper on Friday and Saturday nights in North Casper.

Only a couple weeks of racing have happened over the first month and a half of the racing season, but the wait is over. A big 4th of July race is happening with gates opening at 4pm, racing starting at 7 and you're in a prime area to check out the fireworks that will launch from the Ford Wyoming Center's 'Fireworks Festival 2023'.

You're going to see a full slate of cars spinning around the 1/2 mile dirt track

  • IMCA Sport Compacts
  • IMCA Hobby Stocks
  • WISSOTA MOD 4
  • MIDWEST Modifieds
  • IMCA A MODS
  • Dwarf cars
  • Rocky Mountain Hard Tops

That's a pretty darn good lineup for a Tuesday night of racing and it's only $15 General Admission, $30 for the pits and Military, First Responders and Seniors get in for $7.

That's not all for the track this week.

Saturday night, they're firing up the action again with the Lawnmower Tractor Pulls with the Central Wyoming Antique Tractor Club. Pulls start at 4pm, general admission is only $10.

If you follow along on the Casper Speedway Facebook page, you know Chris and the gang has had a frustrating and, at times, disappointing season so far. They've been busting their butt's to get the cars and fans back to the track.

Continually working the track and even having to bring a generator in to run the lights. Make sure to support the track and the racing community in Casper.
