A starving Northern Fur Seal is rehabilitated back to health by Island Wildlife Natural Care Center on Salt Spring Island, BC.

After 2 1/2 months in rehabilitation, the seal named 'PeeWee' was driven 5 hours to what appears to be a desolate beach and released.

This release site was carefully chosen because of its access to open ocean and no chance of getting turned around in inter-coastal waterways or coming into some sort of unfortunate conflict with humans.

Enjoy PeeWee's release back into the ocean.
