The driver of a vehicle was severely injured early Wednesday when their vehicle crashed into a Casper home.

Casper police officers responded to the intersection of E. 25th Street and Waterford Street at 4:44 a.m., Casper Police Department spokeswoman Rebekah Ladd said in an email.

First responders saw that the vehicle had collided with the residence and the driver was severely injured.

Firefighters pulled the driver from the vehicle. The driver was then taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The people inside the home were unharmed.

Police suspect alcohol may have been involved, Ladd said.

Ladd did not identify the driver Wednesday. The incident remains under investigation.
