After searching over 140 square miles, crews still have not found the 16-year-old boy who walked away from his home on Sunday.

But they aren't giving up on finding Joseph Peterson.

Fresh teams of tracking dogs were brought in Thursday to assist with the search. Drones were not available, but a Blackhawk helicopter will give teams a bird's-eye view of the area.

Experienced mounted search and rescue crews are working with Natrona County sheriff's deputies to search technically difficult terrain.

Peterson, who has autism, left his home near Goose Creek and Hat Six Road between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Sunday. The search has continued for 95 hours, and rather than be discouraged at the lack of progress, crews have simply expanded the search area and continue their work.

Assistance has been widespread. Contributing have been the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, Natrona County Search and Rescue, Natrona County Emergency Management, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Casper Police Department, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Wyoming State Trackers, organized mounted searchers and K-9 teams out of Jackson.

Anyone who sees Joseph or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Natrona County Sheriff's Office at 235-9300.
