UPDATE: Casper Fire-EMS Responds to Gas Leak in West Casper
UPDATE: An investigation continues into how a gas line was damaged in west Casper. Black Hills Energy spokesman Mike Howe said a line to the residence on Whispering Springs just south of White Rock drive was "hit", and crews were able to safely clamp off the damaged line. There were no evacuations due to the incident.
Crews remained on scene Tuesday night to repair the line and restore "safe and reliable" service, Howe said. Although earlier information indicated the reporting party said contractors working in the area had hit the line, Howe said they were still investigating exactly how the line was damaged.
