The Casper Police Department will be joining in a national effort to build relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. "National Night Out", which takes place this year on August 7th, is an annual community-building campaign "that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live," according to the National Night Out website, providing an opportunity "to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances".

Casper Police will be celebrating National Night Out this year with a booth during Tuesday's Food for Thought Summer Market at David Street Station. Officers will be on hand to visit with people and to show kids their police vehicles.

The Summer Market will be Tuesday, August 7th, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm at 200 South David.
