Over the weekend, the Casper Spuds wrapped up their regular season with a series sweep over the Bison, giving them great momentum heading into the Wildcard Playoff series with the Oahe Zap. The winner of the three-game series will head to the championship round to play the reigning league champions, the Spearfish Sasquatch.

The Spuds and Zap have played multiple times this season, and Casper holds a 9-5 record over the Zap, but in playoff baseball, you throw those records out the window. They've both had good and bad stretches throughout the season, but have played hard all summer, and both are playing to get to the championship round.

The best-of-three wildcard series is being held at Mike Lansing Field in Casper because the Spuds finished the season in second place behind Spearfish, giving them home-field advantage. It is huge to be able to play on your field, with your fanbase, and have the chance to advance to the championship in your stadium.

The series begins tonight (7/27), then tomorrow is game two, and if necessary, game three will be held on Wednesday. If you haven't been to a game this season at Mike Lansing Field, this will be your final opportunity, because the championship series will be held in Spearfish.

To get tickets, you can buy them online at spudsbaseball.com or at the gate prior to the game. The ticket office opens at 5, gates open at 5:30, and first pitch is at 6:30 each night.

While you're online buying tickets for this series, go ahead and purchase your 2027 season tickets at the early-bird rate. 2027 is guaranteed to be a fun year as the Spuds celebrate their 5th season in Casper. Get more details at spudsbaseball.com
