There are several factors that make Wyoming a great place to live. The scenery, the adventures, and the strong veteran community are among the top.

The number of veterans who call Wyoming home is well over 40,000, and just over 11% of Wyoming's population is made up of the men and women who have served the country.

There are always projects in the works to benefit the veteran population. It could involve the construction of a new memorial project, encouraging them to get involved with hunting or fishing, assisting them in advancing their education, or hosting events to benefit the veteran community.

This Saturday, a pancake breakfast will be held at the Casper VFW Post 9439 from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. During the three-hour event, you'll be able to interact with local veterans while chowing down on pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

The cost of the breakfast will be:

  • 13 and up - $10
  • 5 to 12 - $5
  • Under 5 - Free

Not only will you be able to have a great breakfast, prepared by some of the local vets, you'll also have an opportunity to meet with some of the area's finest veteran organizations. If you're a vet and you're looking to get involved with a group, this will be an excellent opportunity to explore the options available to you.

To  get to the VFW, head north out of Casper on Bryan Stock Trail about three miles from I-25. The VFW will be located on the left-hand side of the road.
