Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo: Steer Wrestler Levi Rudd
It was first-round payday at Cheyenne Frontier Days and Aaron Vosler was top man steer wrestling in his hometown rodeo pocketing $6,300 toward his pursuit of a national finals berth. Vosler could not find a way down in the mud on his second steer and was forced into a no-time venture to end his Cheyenne work this year. Oklahoma dogger Levi Rudd was great in the soggy Frontier Park arena on Friday and his 6.1-second run earned #2 money in the first round for $5,500. Rudd will have it with another one Saturday. He got out of the box Friday to the strains of classic Chris LeDoux.
