Cowboy Draw Nets First $1 Million Dollar Winner For Wyoming Lottery
Week after week, records were broken as Cowboy Draw’s™ jackpot climbed to unprecedented heights. WyoLotto™ players around the state continued to play and win with $1,000 tickets, but the jackpot for Wyoming’s own game proved to be as elusive as WyoLotto’s jackpotalope mascot, Yolo.
History was made during Monday’s drawing as one lucky ticket laid claim to Cowboy Draw’s first million dollar jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased on Sunday, September 13 at Ridley’s located at 300 East Wyoming Boulevard in Casper, and was the fifth jackpot-winning ticket sold for Wyoming’s own game. The last Cowboy Draw jackpot winner was announced on June 4, 2015.
The final jackpot amount (advertised at $975,000) totaled $1,000,022 and shattered the previous record jackpot amount of $628,630 announced on April 16, 2015.
The winning numbers for Monday’s drawing were 5, 10, 16, 23, and 31.
Cowboy Draw, which launched on March 15, is a draw game similar to Powerball® and Mega Millions®. Players choose two sets of five numbers ranging from 1 to 45. A player who correctly matches all five numbers is the jackpot winner! Players who correctly match four, three, and two numbers also win cash prizes of $1,000, $20, and $5, respectively. Each $5 ticket provides two chances to win. The weekly drawings for Cowboy Draw will be held every Monday and Thursday at 2 p.m. MST. The jackpot starts at $250,000 and keeps growing until someone wins. Tickets for Cowboy Draw are sold only in Wyoming.
