It's time to trim up and decorate the trees and help raise money for some Special Wyoming Olympians.

Sunday, November 30th, was the annual Teddy Bear Tea, which is a preview event for the 26th Annual Festival Of Trees fundraiser, at the East Casper Wyoming Athletic Club.

About 30 trees and wreaths have been decorated and will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going towards Special Olympics Wyoming.

Priscilla Dowse is the President and CEO of the Casper Chapter of Special Olympics Wyoming.

She says the auction raises about $200,000 annually, and most of it goes towards the various Special Olympic Games which are held five times a year, at various locations throughout the state.

"Sports is a platform, that helps our athletes grow. It gives them an opportunity to learn new skills, it gives them a chance to display their abilities, rather than focus on their disabilities, it gives them confidence, it gives them the opportunity to travel, to interact with people throughout the state."

The Festival Of Trees event will be held from 6-10pm Tuesday, December 2nd, at the East Casper Wyoming Athletic Club.

Tickets are still available, at $50 each or $75 a couple.
