Lady Lancer Land in Torrington is a good place to be today with official results posted for the first half of the Central Rocky Mountain Region rodeo season. Eastern Wyoming College women are #1 at the winter break led by Jacey Thompson. The sophomore from a very big rodeo family in Yoder, WY won the all-around race by a large margin at the final fall event held in Cheyenne. Thompson posted huge numbers with a goat tying victory and first-place split in breakaway roping and is the top all-around cowgirl in the entire region. She is the first to note the important contributions of teammate Karissa Rayhill who won the first round of goat tying in Cheyenne and earned points breakaway roping as well. EWC Coach Jake Clark's Thompson/Rayhill combo accounted for 510 points in Cheyenne last weekend to win the event.
