Just when you thought it was safe to put away the snow boots, there is a chance we could get 3 to 4 inches of snow in the Casper area on Friday.

This sweet graphic was just shared by the National Weather Service. Pay special attention to the Thursday night and Friday part.

Here are the gory details of what the weather guessers are actually thinking will happen:

Thursday Night
A chance of rain before midnight, then rain and snow likely between midnight and 3am, then snow likely after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. South southwest wind 5 to 11 mph becoming north northeast in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday
Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 37. North wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

The good news is the NWS says temps are expected to be back above freezing over the weekend, so this snow (if we get any) shouldn't stick around long.
