Authorities say no foul play is suspected after an infant passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning in western Wyoming.

According to a statement from Sgt. Travis Bingham of the Sublette County Sheriff's Office, dispatch received an emergency call regarding an unresponsive infant early Saturday. Deputies and EMS were dispatched to the scene and arrived within minutes of the report.

EMS performed CPR and other lifesaving measures for the infant, but those efforts proved unsuccessful and the infant was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bingham says the incident is still under investigation, but no foul play is currently suspected.

He told K2 Radio News on Tuesday that more specific details, such as the location of the incident, were not immediately available.
