That day has officially come -- sort of.

I figured after watching Harrison Waylee and his Virginia Cavaliers pull off the big upset last night over No. 8 Florida State in Charlottesville, it was probably time to check in on the guys who once called Laramie home.

I know some fans really hate checking in on this group. Others, well, let's just say -- like me -- curiosity gets the best of you.

Check it all out right here:

Ethan Day - Soph. - Defensive End - North Texas

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Ripon, Calif., product has 18 total tackles and two sacks for the currently unbeaten North Texas Mean Green. Ethan Day has been on the field for 167 defensive snaps and ranks fourth on the team with a Pro Football Focus grade of 76.4. Day only had 19 tackles in 2024 for the Cowboys, including 0.5 sacks.

Sabastian Harsh - Grad. - Defensive End - North Carolina State

This Scottsbluff, Neb., native ranks second on the team with a PFF score of 76.6. On 198 defensive snaps, Sabastian Harsh has tallied 14 tackles and a pass breakup. He has 11 quarterback pressures to his credit, including a sack and eight hurries. He capped his Wyoming career in 2024 with 1.5 sacks and 40 stops.

Braden Siders - Sr. - Defensive End - West Virginia

During his first four outings in Morgantown, Braden Siders already has one sack to go along with seven quarterback pressures. The 6-foot-2, 238-pound edge rusher also has nine tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup. In an injury-plagued '24 campaign, the Denver-area product registered just 22 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Harrison Waylee - Grad. - Running Back - Virginia

Virginia might be the surprise team in the nation this fall, starting 4-0 and fresh off a 46-38 double-overtime upset win Friday night over No. 8 Florida State. Harrison Waylee carried the ball just four times for 15 yards in that victory. The Iowa product has rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns on just 30 attempts so far this season. Most of that damage -- 151 yards and three scores -- came in a blowout of Williams and Mary. Waylee has been on the field for just 47 offensive snaps, per PFF. He appeared in just four games last fall for the Cowboys, rolling up 323 yards on the ground. A knee injury hampered him throughout 2024.

Dawaiian McNeely - Grad. - Running Back - Valparaiso

This 215-pound back from Ceres, Calif., has already found the end zone three times in his first four games at Valpo. Dawaiian McNeely, after an injury-riddled career at Wyoming, has accounted for 124 yards of total offense after carrying the ball just twice last fall in Laramie. Both attempts resulted in injury.

Tyrecus Davis - Grad. - Cornerback - Colorado

Twelve. That's the number of defensive snaps Tyrecus Davis has been on the field for so far in 2025, including six in last Saturday night's win over Wyoming. The Texas product has only been credited with a penalty this fall. Davis, who only received an extra season of eligibility because of the one-year "JuCo rule," finished the '24 campaign with 42 tackles and an interception.

Keany Parks - Jr. - Cornerback - Houston

The junior from Wisconsin has just one solo tackle to his credit in 2025, and has been on the field for only 19 defensive snaps. Keany Parks, who came to Wyoming as a running back, played just one year in the secondary in Laramie, tallying 41 tackles, seven pass breakups and a fumble recovery.

Deyon Batiste - R-Fr. - Quarterback - Incarnate Word

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound redshirt freshman signal caller has yet to appear in a game at his new school, Incarnate Word, an FCS program in San Antonio.

TK King - R-Jr. - Wide Receiver/ Returner - New Mexico State

Wyoming's lone all-conference selection (kick returner) in 2024, TK King has yet to play a single snap during his first season in Las Cruces. A nagging hamstring injury has sidelined him and could again today against in-state rival New Mexico. King, a Houston product who transferred to Wyoming from Texas Tech, caught 17 passes for 236 yards last fall. He added 422 yards in kickoff returns, including a 100-yarder and a score against North Texas.

Naz Hill - Soph. - Cornerback - Southern Illinois

The 6-foot-3 Kankakee, Ill., native has yet to get on the stats sheet during his first season at Southern Illinois. He made one tackle for the Cowboys last fall. That came in the season finale at Washington State.

Jaden Williams, a junior from the Los Angeles area, capped the '24 campaign -- his last in Laramie -- with 20 tackles and 0.5 sacks.

Read Sunn - Grad. - Linebacker - Eastern Washington

Getting his first real shot at being a full-time starter, Read Sunn already has 22 tackles, including three for loss. The graduate transfer has two sacks, too. In the Eagles' lone meeting against an FBS program, Boise State, Sunn finished with five tackles, including one in the backfield. The Alaska native made just five tackles and forced a fumble during his final season in a Wyoming uniform. He played a reserve role and was a mainstay on special teams.

Wrook Brown - Sr. - Safety - Houston

Named a team captain for last night's road tilt with Oregon State, Wrook Brown finished with three tackles and a pass breakup in a 27-24 overtime victory in Corvallis. The Salado, Texas native already has 14 tackles and an interception on his stat line in Houston. He continues to be a ballhawk after snagging six picks during his Wyoming career.

This 5-foot-11, 200-pound linebacker from St. Charles, Mo., never appeared in a game at Wyoming. Since transferring to Missouri, he has been in the field for 14, including 13 during the 2024 season. He tallied just one tackle, playing a role on the Tigers' special teams units.

Jordon Vaughn - Sr. - Running Back - Abilene Christian

A former linebacker at Wyoming, who did eventually get into the backfield during the Cowboys loss to Ohio in the 2022 Arizona Bowl, Jordon Vaughn has become a lead running back at Abilene Christian. So far this fall, the senior has amassed 188 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in four outings.

Carson May - R-Jr. - Tight End - Abilene Christian

Once a four-star quarterback recruit, Carson May has officially made the transition to tight end at his new home, Abilene Christian. The Jones, Okla., product did not see the field in 2024 after spending the '23 season in Laramie. He has appeared in two of four games this fall, but has yet to make a catch.

Kolbey Taylor - Sr. - Cornerback - Vanderbilt

A year after registering nine tackles for loss and six sacks at Texas Southern, earning All-SWAC Second Team honors, Keelan Cox again entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, landing at Sam Houston State in his native state. Cox, who began his career at Alabama before spending the 2022-23 seasons in Laramie, has yet to register a state for winless Sam Houston State.

Emmanuel Pregnon - R-Sr. - Offensive Line - Oregon

The 318-pound Denver native didn't allow a single sack on 882 plays at left guard last fall, his last at USC. The former Freshman All-American at Wyoming is now capping his career at Oregon where he has started the first four game of the season for the Ducks.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
