Mark Lenhardt from Riverton and Mountain View’s Brent Walk have been chosen as the head coaches for the 53rd annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl all-star football game next summer in Casper. Executive Director Larry Yeradi released the information on Sunday night. Lenhardt will lead the North Team, and Walk will coach the South Team. The two head coaches were chosen after a vote from their peers around the state.

2026 Wyoming Shrine Bowl Head Coaches Announced

Walk led the Buffalos to the 2025 Class 2A football state championship last month in Laramie. Lenhardt helped the Wolverines to the Class 4A semifinals. The two head coaches will now complete their staff selections, which will be released by December 20, 2025.

Each coaching staff will choose the players for the two teams for the Shrine Bowl. The player rosters are to be completed by mid-January. Next year’s game will be on Saturday, June 13, in Casper.

The North Team won the 52nd edition of the Wyoming Shrine Bowl last year, 34-28, over the South in Casper at Natrona County High School’s Cheney Alumni Field.

The North team leads the all-time series 28-20-3.
