Wyoming’s prep indoor track season has reached Week 5. Evanston, Casper, and Gillette host events this week. The Red Devils host a three-event indoor meet on Thursday with five teams attending. Sheridan and Natrona County will host track meets on Saturday, which splits most of the rest of the state into two fields.

WYOPREPS WEEK 5 INDOOR TRACK SCHEDULE 2026

A couple of schools will be represented at the REP Distance Challenge in Utah on Friday. Those are distance-only events. Wyoming also might have a few athletes at the 8th annual Golden Sprint Challenge in Utah on Saturday. Schedules are subject to change.

Thursday, Feb. 12

Evanston High Jump & Throws Meet at Evanston HS at 4 p.m. – high jump, shot put, & weight throw.

Team Attending: Evanston, Green River, Mountain View, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Star Valley swept the weight throw. Green River and Evanston throwers won the shot put. Star Valley and Rock Springs jumpers won the high jump.

Friday, Feb. 13

REP Distance Challenge in Kearns, UT, at the Olympic Oval – Distance-only events starting at 4 p.m. on a rolling schedule. (400, 800, 1600, 3200)

Team Attending: Mountain View, Star Valley.

Mountain View's Cole Rogers placed 3rd in the 400 meters. 

 

Saturday, Feb. 14:

Bronc Invitational in Gillette at the Campbell County Recreation Center – Rolling schedule starts at 10 a.m. for Field Events, and 11:30 a.m. for Track Events.

Team Attending: Big Horn, Buffalo, Burns/Pine Bluffs, Campbell County, Cody, Douglas, Powell, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Tongue River, Worland.

Girls Team Scores = Thunder Basin 170.50, Sheridan 108.50, Cody 66.50, Campbell County 55.50, Powell 51, Worland 48, Big Horn 18, Douglas 14, Buffalo 12, Burns/Pine Bluffs 11, Tongue River 4.

Boys Team Scores = Sheridan 152, Thunder Basin 143, Cody 60, Campbell County 50, Douglas 45.50, Big Horn 36, Powell 30, Worland 20, Buffalo 18, Tongue River 16, Burns/Pine Bluffs 9.50.

Thunder Basin's Ashley Rogge won 2 individual events, the 55-meter hurdles and high jump. Cherise Douzenis of Worland captured wins in the 200 & 400-meter races for the girls. Cody's Boston Cronebaugh won the 55 & 200 meter races. He was also part of the Broncs' winning Sprint Medley Relay.

 

 

Mustang Invite in Casper at the NCHS MAC: Field Events start at 9 a.m. and Track Events at 9 a.m. for the 3200 meters and 10 a.m. for the rest (rolling schedule).

Team Attending: Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Glenrock, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Laramie, Natrona County, Rawlins, Riverton, Rock Springs, Torrington, Wheatland.

Girls Team Scores = Laramie 130, Kelly Walsh 104, Central 88.50, Natrona County 63, Torrington 56, Lander 48.50, Riverton 19, Rock Springs 14, Rawlins 13, Green River 7, East 7, Wheatland 5, Jackson 3.

Boys Team Scores = East 106, Natrona County 88.50, Rock Springs 71.50, Laramie 66.50, Kelly Walsh 54, Central 50, Riverton 44, Rawlins 31, Lander 19.50, Torrington 14, Green River 7, Jackson 6, South 3, Glenrock 2.

Ava Wallhead of Laramie swept the sprints, the 55-meter and 200 meters, plus the long jump. Titus Nitschke from Rawlins won the boys' 200 meters and long jump.
