LEARN TO FLY – Cheyenne Fight School Has New Owner

Have you ever thought about becoming a pilot? Professional or private, either one?

The old flying school in Cheyenne, Wyoming, now has a new owner. They held a fly-in and breakfast on Saturday, July 1st, in their hangar and invited folks out for a free discovery flight.

The new flight school owner got his licence in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and now he owns the school.

This time they chose a simple name. THE FLYING SCHOOL!

The Flying School in Cheyenne, Wyoming—formerly known as Wings of Wyoming—operates out of the Cheyenne Regional Airport (3803 Evans Avenue) and is powered by AFI. It offers flight training programs using aircraft like the Cessna 172 and specialized accelerated multi-engine courses.

Below is the new owner, holding a packet of air sick bags, just in case someone needs one.

The Flying School offers two locations for flight training: Loveland, CO, and Cheyenne, WY. Embark on your adventure confidently in their Cessna 172 fleet, supplemented by their specialty aircraft.

While at the breakfast I was offered a flight with Ben Wallerstein, one of their flight instructors. We took a Cessna 172 up over Cheyenne for a few touch-and-goes. Like the other instructors, Ben was easy to talk to and fun to fly with. No need to feel nervous around these flight instructors. They understand your dream and will help you get there.

I suggest calling them or stopping by and asking them about a "discovery flight." Those are not expensive. An instructor will take you into the air and let you get your hands on the controls to see if flying is for you. Discovery flights also make great gifts for someone who just wants to try it once.
