10:26 A.M. UPDATE:

Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Laramie has reopened to all traffic except light and high-profile vehicles, due to extreme blow over risk.

Westbound I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne, closed due to rolling closure, has also reopened to all traffic.

Black ice advisories remain in effect between Evanston and Exit 30 (Bigelow Road) and between Exit 187 (Creston Junction) and Rawlins.


ORIGINAL STORY:

It could be late Thursday afternoon before Interstate 80 in Wyoming reopens, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

As of 9 a.m., both lanes were closed between Rawlins and Laramie due to winter conditions, and the westbound lanes between Laramie and Cheyenne were closed due to rolling closure.

As of 8 a.m., WYDOT estimated it would take crews eight to 10 hours to get the roughly 145-mile stretch between Rawlins and Cheyenne back open.

Black ice advisories are also in effect between Evanston and Exit 30 (Bigelow Road), between Exit 83 (La Barge Road) and Point of Rocks, and between Exit 187 (Creston Junction) and Rawlins.
