The music industry is a wild industry that's full of highs and lows. There are good times, bad times, and confusing times. You started by learning how to play a few chords on a guitar and writing songs. When you're a young musician, you have dreams of becoming a huge superstar and playing music in front of thousands of fans.

There aren't many people who were overnight successes. Nashville is known as the 10-year town. You'll hear the story from lots of artists about how they moved to Nashville with a small amount of money, the clothes on their backs, a guitar, and the desire to be famous.

You will spend the next few years doing odd jobs to make money to live during the day, then at night you're playing honky-tonks, taking every writing meeting you can get, shaking hands, and kissing babies, hoping for that big break.

Ian Munsick grew up playing music with his family here in Wyoming, and 13 years ago decided it was time for him to make the move to Nashville with those same dreams that many before him had—making music a career.

When you make that move, you're investing in yourself and feel that you have what it takes to get the job done. One of the things that many young artists hope for is signing a record deal with a label, and then the rest will be history. You'll make albums, you'll tour the world, you'll make a living doing it, and then you'll be able to make things happen for yourself.

For many people, that will remain just a dream. For Ian, he made it a reality.

In 2020, he signed with Warner Music. Nashville record label, and became a household name. The hard work, determination, and drive paid off for him, and before you knew it, he had multiple albums, over 1 billion streams, he had toured all over the country playing shows, and he had a fantastic family of his own.

Last week was a big one for Ian and his family. He announced that he and Warner Music had parted ways, and that he'd be moving forward as an Independent artist.

That's big news, but not the biggest for the Munsick family. Ian, his wife/ manager Caroline, and their son (now big brother) Crawford welcomed a new member to the family.

Roan Autum Munsick was born on September 20, 2025. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long.

Congratulations on an exciting week, Ian, Caroline, Crawford, and Roann.
