There are a lot of strong women here in Wyoming, but this Cowgirl is one of the toughest. This month, Shellie Holzhausen will represent the Cowboy State at the Ms. Wheelchair USA Pageant.

Regardless of the outcome, Shellie has already won.

Holzhausen has Multiple Sclerosis, but it doesn't have her. When she's not busy raising four boys, the proud military wife volunteers on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade Committee, plays in a dart league and enjoys singing.

She is an also an advocate, working to promote awareness, increase access and provide opportunities for other people with disabilities.

As Ms. Wheelchair Wyoming USA, Holzhausen will be one of nine finalists competing for the crown at the national pageant, which will be held in Ohio on July 28th and 29th.

If you'd like to help support her, you can cast your vote in the People's Choice Award by making a $5 contribution to the Dane Foundation, which serves individuals with both physical and developmental disabilities.
