‘Reacher’ Star Has A Direct Connection To Wyoming
A few years ago, my dad told me about a book series he'd been reading, which had been adapted into a couple of movies starring Tom Cruise and a show streaming on Prime called Reacher.
I watched the movies, and they were good, but then I saw the Prime series and was absolutely hooked. The show stars Alan Ritchson as Reacher, a former Army M.P. who was in charge of a special investigations unit.
After leaving the military, he becomes a drifter who travels around, and everywhere he goes, trouble finds him. When it does, he has a trusty former special investigations unit team member-turned-P.I., Frances Neagley, who is there to help her former leader get out of trouble and save the day.
There are three seasons of Reacher, and we're hoping that a fourth season is on the way. The series is excellent. My wife and I binge the new seasons as soon as they come back, then start rewatching them.
Since the series began, Neagley has been one of our favorite characters. She's a cereal-eating badass and a loyal person for Reacher to have on his team. The character is played by actress, model, and former Miss Denmark, Maria Sten.
We're not the only ones who dig that character, and Sten, because she's been given a spinoff series called Neagley.
The actress behind Neagley, Maria Sten, has spent a significant amount of time in Wyoming for several years. Her Instagram page is filled with pictures and videos of her riding horses, floating down the Bighorn River, relaxing at Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis, and spending time in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. This may be the reason we enjoy her character so much; she's giving off the "I Love Wyoming" vibes. Her time in Wyoming began a few years ago. In an Instagram video caption from January of 2022, she wrote:
When People ask me how the hell I ended up in Wyoming, my answer is always very simple: horses and mountains.
