One Washington woman is dead and two Washington women are injured after a one-vehicle crash 40 miles north of Casper.

55-year-old Christine Byron of Monroe, Wash., was hauling a 10-foot trailer with her pickup Thursday when she lost control of her vehicle in the southbound lane of Interstate 25. Byron drove into a median, where her vehicle rolled and came to rest in the northbound lane of the interstate.

Byron was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, 27-year-old Amanda Byron, also of Monroe, Wash., and 29-year-old Kari Kramer of Arlington, Wash., were taken to Wyoming Medical Center for treatment.

The crash briefly closed I-25 on Thursday so crews could clear the scene.
