
Police: 2 Held, Brutalized for 9 Hours in Riverton; 6 Arrested
Six people were arrested on felony charges over the weekend after two females were kidnapped and brutalized inside an apartment, Riverton police say.
The incident, reported at 11:24 p.m. Saturday, occurred at an apartment in the 700 Block of Eagle Drive in Riverton, according to a media release from the Riverton Police Department.
Police say two females -- who are not identified in the release -- were held against their will inside an apartment for nine hours. The females were kicked and punched; burn marks from a stun gun were also found on their arms, necks and faces.
Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Here are the people who were arrested and their recommended charges:
- Geraldine Blackburn, 56, of Riverton -- aggravated assault and battery
- Basil Blackburn, 32, of Riverton -- aggravated assault and battery x2, kidnapping x2
- Kelly Martinez, 22, of Colorado -- aggravated assault and battery, outstanding Colorado warrant
- Darilyne Dodge, 34, of Arapahoe -- aggravated assault and battery
- Janelle Warren, 23, of Arapahoe -- aggravated assault and battery
- Jakota Wolfname, 28, of Riverton -- possession of a controlled substance, three Fremont County warrants and probation revocation
Further details were not immediately available from the Riverton Police Department.
