Police Investigating Crash on East Yellowstone in Casper

Traffic is currently slowed on the East Yellowstone Highway near Beverly Street in Casper following a car accident Tuesday.

The crash happened at roughly 5:10 p.m. in the 2300 block of East Yellowstone near the Travelodge Hotel.

Two vehicles were involved in the wreck including a blue MINI Cooper that was apparently speeding before the driver lost control, ran off and struck a fire hydrant before hitting a telephone pole.

Witnesses say multiple passengers fled the scene. Police are speaking with the people who stayed on-scene.

At least one person was being treated in an ambulance.
