My co-host Doc had the idea to write letters to our 19-year-old selves.

I'm 100% a team player so here you go, an open letter to my 19-year-old self.

Dearest Cathy,

Let's start off by saying you are amazing.

19 years old and living over a thousand miles from your family, working a full-time job (graveyard shift at the Loaf and Jug no less) AND taking 21 credit hours at the University of Wyoming...your dedication to your goals is admirable on so many levels.

That being said, maybe going three days in a row without sleep every week isn't the best idea? And I know you LOOOOVE those hot box burritos and Diet Pepsi but a little variety in your diet is a good thing.

While we're talking about things you shouldn't do, that chic super short haircut isn't going to look how you thought it would.

Taking time to have fun and enjoy your friends is a MUST. Keep on making those memories because yes, you will still be friends with them two decades later. And yes you will thoroughly enjoy laughing about all the things you got up to when you meet up.

Speaking of fun times, go to Frontier Days with your friends this year.

It's 100% worth the drive!

When you meet a more than slightly sauced green-eyed cowboy at the beer tent (you won't get caught sneaking it's OK) make sure you take his marriage proposal seriously and say yes to going on that date with him.

It'll be the best decision you'll ever make.

Be bold, walk tall, and know that you are strong enough to handle anything that comes your way.

Cry, laugh, go to mass a bit more often, enjoy the sunshine and without a doubt, know that the best is yet to come.

XOXOX

PS File this name away, it'll come in handy later.
