If you've been wondering how you can change the world, you can start with one small task: be a good person. I know it seems simple, but it's true. If you're kind to others, you've already taken a big step toward helping change the world.

If you're looking for a way to begin on your journey to becoming a good person, there's an opportunity in Casper this Saturday at Backwards Distilling Company.

According to a post on their site, Backwards was going to host a birthday party this weekend, but due to an emergency with her daughter, they decided to pivot and turn her party time into a focus on kindness and support.

Ok, here's where your mission to start changing the world comes in. On Saturday, from 3 pm to 10 pm, it's Random Act of Kindness Day at Backwards Distilling Company. When you stop in for a cocktail, you're already helping Stephanie and Lulu because a portion of the day's cocktail proceeds will go toward medical and travel expenses for them.

That's not where it ends. Since it was supposed to be Stephanie's birthday party and everyone loves getting cards, bring a birthday or get-well card for little Lulu with you. The card can include words of encouragement or maybe a few dollars to help out.

If you've ever been on a road trip, you know that snacks are the best part of the trip. The same goes when you have to sit around a hospital; snacks make it a little more tolerable. Being in a difficult situation, money is tight, so bring snacks or maybe a giftcard for them to grab snacks.

If you really want to go above and beyond on your 'be a good person' mission, you can make a donation through Venmo or drop cash off at Backwards.

Keep Casper Beautiful Public Art

Beginning in 2016 the City of Casper and Art 3-2-1 have been working together to wrap traffic light control boxes all over the city. New boxes are wrapped with original artwork from Natrona County artists.

The Best Public Restrooms in Casper

After looking at our Facebook poll, these are Casper's best and cleanest public restrooms. The first three places had the most votes, and Hat 6 Travel Center has the most praise for its restrooms. Then, closely followed by Maverick and Common Cents.

Please be respectful of all these businesses. We assume they would allow anyone to use the restrooms in an emergency, but officially they are for customer use only.
