The Real ID Now Mandatory to Fly from Wyoming
If you have a drivers license have you checked to see if it's a Real ID? If it's a Wyoming license, it's more than likely, but if you've just moved to Wyoming and haven't obtained yours, you'd better.
In 2005, the REAL ID Act was enacted, implementing stricter security standards for driver's licenses and identification cards. Wyoming was one of the first states to meet the federal requirements in 2011.
Starting May 7, everyone will need a REAL ID to fly within the United States. The REAL ID won't replace a U.S. Passport for international travel, but after May 7, you'll need the REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification (such as a U.S. Passport) to fly domestically or enter certain federal facilities.
If you're not sure whether your ID is a REAL ID, check the upper right corner of your license. If there is a black circle with a star in the middle, you're good to go. In 2019, Wyoming changed from a gold star to the current black circle with a star.
If not, all you'll need to do is head to the nearest WYDOT Drivers Services Location and get yours updates.

Again, there shouldn't be many people who hold a valid driver's license in Wyoming without a REAL ID, but you should know how to check if you do.
From the Department of Homeland Security:
Passengers who present a state-issued identification that is not REAL ID compliant and who do not have another acceptable alternative (i.e. Passport) can expect to face delays, additional screening and the possibility of not being permitted into the security checkpoint.
If you're worried about DHS trying to build a national database with our information:
REAL ID is a national set of standards, not a national identification card. REAL ID does not create a federal database of driver license information. Each jurisdiction continues to issue its own unique license, maintains its own records, and controls who gets access to those records and under what circumstances. The purpose of REAL ID is to make our identity documents more consistent and secure.
