Stage III’s ‘Talk Radio’ Performance To Benefit Brian Scott Gamroth Stage

A special performance Stage III Community Theatre's latest production will benefit a stage honoring the memory of the late Brian Scott. "Talk Radio" is set to open this weekend and 100% of the proceeds from the preview performance on Thursday, April 20th, will be donated to the Brian Scott Gamroth Community Stage at David Street Station. The theatre will also have a 50/50 raffle that night, and a donation jar available.

K2 Radio’s Brian Scott, often called “The Voice Of Wyoming”, died suddenly in a motorcycle accident last fall. He was an avid supporter of the arts and theatre including Stage III, and had appeared in a number of their productions.

“Talk Radio” is a Pulitzer Prize-nominated "dramedy" by Eric Bogosian. According to the theatre, it's set in the 1980’s and focuses on Cleveland radio host Barry Champlain, whose regional talk show is about to be picked up for national broadcast. His producers are afraid he'll say something to offend the sponsors, and that prompts him into ever more outrageous behavior. One of Brian’s colleagues, former K2 Radio News reporter Trevor T. Trujillo, plays Champlain.

Curtain time is 7:30 pm, and tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students. They can be purchased in advance online at stageiiitheatre.org, at the Cadillac Cowgirl in downtown Casper, or at the door starting one hour before curtain. After the April 20th benefit, "Talk Radio" runs from April 21st through May 7th. You check their website for specific dates and times.
