Studio City Mesa ‘Cooper ARQ’ Reopens After Dolby Atmos Upgrade

On the eve of the most anticipated movie event of the year, the new sound system at Studio City Mesa is now ready.

The new Dolby Atmos upgrade will be used for the first time on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 for the release of Avengers: Endgame.

The official Wyomovies Facebook page posted the following photos along with a message that read:

ATMOS UPDATE: The Dolby Atmos system at Studio City Mesa is fully commissioned and approved by both Dolby and Meyer Sound. Atmos showings will begin with AVENGERS: ENDGAME on Thursday night!

Shown here, Aaron Ridenour from Meyer Sound calibrates the new Dolby Atmos installation in Studio City Mesa's Cooper auditorium. The combination of the Meyer EXP sound system with Atmos decoding is available in less than a dozen theatres in the United States, including the prestigious Cinerama in Seattle and the Arclight in Los Angeles. 😎
