A Big Event To Benefit Casper’s ‘Super Max’ This Weekend
Imagine being in first grade and explaining to other kids why you are slightly different from them. Life as a kid is tricky, so adding extra pressure isn't fair.
One thing I've found is that those kids tend to inspire others.
That's the case with first grader Max.
Two years ago, Max was in an accident that resulted in him having burns on 30% of his body. Max spent the next five months in the hospital in Denver. As a result of the injuries, Max and his mom, Brittany, have to frequent Southern California for treatments.
I found a specialist in Southern California that works with the Shriners. He has helped me and Max navigate and understand what's going to come next in the next ten years. He's has about six surgeries this year and a grand total of 17 since the accident. All his surgeries and procedures are done in Southern California, so we have to leave and go do those...and we do those quite often.
If you have ever had to travel for treatments, you know it takes a toll on you—not only physically but also mentally and financially. That's why they are throwing a fundraiser for Max at the Elks Club in Casper on Saturday, March 23, at 7 p.m.
Good Vibes for Max will feature two bands, raffles, a silent auction, and a fun-filled night to help raise funds for Max.
If you cannot attend the event, other ways exist to help raise money for Max. You can scan the code below to help.
