The Buckin' Brew coffee shop is hosting a car show from 10am-2pm on Saturday, June 5th to benefit Sammy Dunnuck, a young boy who was diagnosed with a debilitating, a fatal, disease.

The Denver Zoo's food budget has been cut drastically due to limiting crowds, which has refrained the zoo from generating its typical revenue. Now, the zoo is turning to its supporters, asking for donations to cover the nearly $1 million annual food budget for the facility’s animals.

“As a parent, it means a lot,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You struggle to try and give your kids everything and then, when you can’t give them something on Christmas, it breaks your heart. To be able to have an opportunity to get that, and then you don’t have to feel like a bad parent, it’s amazing. It’s a great feeling.”

MacKenzie Scott, ex-wife of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, was giving nearly $4 billion to various charitable organizations within all 50 states, as well as Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. $1.4 million of that was going to Natrona County Meals on Wheels.

Donations are accepted from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day through Saturday, Dec. 21.

Those wishing to donate must be at least 16, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health.
